The shepherds overseeing our ministry

Apostle Ogochukwu Yvonne Ukwu is the Convener of The Derushah Global Network Ministry. She was born on 13th February 1976, the 6th child in a family of eight, to Prince Daniel Nwoko, who worked as a civil servant and was also a Chartered Accountant, and Ezinne Christiana Nwoko. Her parents are Christians who raised her and her siblings in the Godly way.

Mega Lolo, as she is fondly called by her husband, started her journey in Christ as a little child of age 5, where she played the role of an angel in nursery school and the Spirit of the Lord came upon her. In her secondary school days at FGGC Abuloma, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, she ministered in the church choir. As she journeyed as a teenager, a prophecy came to her parents that she is called to work for God.

She moved on to rededicate her life to Christ in December 2001, after a journey of backsliding between 1998 and 2001. Originally of Anglican descent but led to RCCG 24 Road, Festac, Lagos after a dream searching for deliverance, she settled in and enrolled in the workforce in 2003. In that same year, the word of the Lord came that she is a born intercessor and would need to answer the call of intercession. She became the head of protocol in RCCG Province 3 in 2012 and resigned from the department in 2019. While in RCCG, in 2018 she heeded the call of the Lord on her life and started off with the Marriage and Women ministry. This call gave rise to Marriage Essence 2018, where she began counselling married couples and teaching in churches. Ogochukwu is also a prophetic intercessor with an Apostolic calling.

In August 2020 after the Covid, the Praying Women was birthed with 3 women praying virtually. By May 2022, the women’s ministry took off fully with 9 women and the name was changed to “The Derushah Women Network” — Derushah is a Hebrew word meaning “Sought Out” or “One Being Sought”, showing the restored identity of Jerusalem and God’s children. God’s promise is that His children will not be deserted or forgotten. God’s mandate was “Gather women together to pray for his presence, his Holy Spirit infilling and play the role of a teacher in our homes and beyond in delivering the message of the Cross (Jesus Christ).” The ministry started with 8 women based in Nigeria and 1 woman based in the United Kingdom who functioned as the ministry’s foreign partner. We have grown to over 56 members with the inclusion of men.

In February 2024, the Convener received the direction from God to branch into missions, and the Derushah Missions was birthed. In March 2025, the Missions group had their 1st free medical and evangelical outreach in Satellite, Lagos, in partnership with Christ Reality Ministry Satellite, Lagos. In February 2026, “The Epe for Christ” Crusade came in as the 2nd outreach, though the 1st ever Crusade of the ministry.

Again, in February 2025, the call came from the Lord to gather intercessors for intercessory prayers, which birthed The Derushah Intercessory Group.

Ogochukwu Ukwu worked as an evangelist preaching in buses, in market locations and engaging in morning cry. She worked as assistant accountant for the building project of RCCG Province 3, 24 Road, Festac, Lagos. Her vast experience working with various Redeemed provincial pastors, mission pastors, churches, and ministers has played a significant role in her ministry life.

Apostle Ogochukwu is a strategy manager with vast experience in retail banking, investment banking and client experience. She is a graduate of English Language, a certified Retail Banker (RB 11), a Data Analyst and an MBA holder.

She has written her 1st book, “The Icebreaker”, which is anchored on her past experience in ministry and as a worker in the vineyard of God.

She is happily married to Prince Chijioke Fortune Ukwu, and they are blessed with 3 wonderful children.
