Evangelist Ify Sophie Obodo

Sophie is a dedicated Christian leader, accomplished professional, mentor, and servant-hearted woman whose life reflects a deep commitment to God, people, and purposeful leadership. She is The Derushah Global Network Ministry’s International Partner and sits on the Board of Trustees.

With an MBA, an MSc in International Relations, and numerous professional qualifications, Sophie has built a distinguished career spanning more than fifteen years in management, health, and social care. She previously served as an Administrative Manager within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the NHS, where she provided strategic leadership, operational management, and administrative oversight in one of the most demanding healthcare environments.

Sophie also served as a Registered Manager within the care sector, where she led high-quality care services, ensured compliance with regulatory standards, developed and supported multidisciplinary teams, and championed person-centred care that upheld the dignity, wellbeing, and independence of those she served. She currently serves as a Social Worker, passionately advocating for vulnerable individuals and families, promoting their wellbeing, safeguarding their interests, and empowering them to achieve positive and lasting outcomes.

A devoted and practising Christian, Sophie believes that true worship extends far beyond songs and words — it is demonstrated through a life wholly surrendered to God and lived according to His purpose. She is passionate about helping others grow in their relationship with Christ and encouraging believers to stand firmly on God’s truth in every season of life.

Sophie serves as a Trustee of two Christian charities, where she contributes to governance, strategic planning, and the advancement of initiatives that positively impact communities and further the work of God’s Kingdom. She also serves as a Women’s Leader in her church, mentoring and nurturing women to discover their God-given identity, grow in spiritual maturity, and walk confidently in their divine calling.

Known for her wisdom, compassion, and authenticity, Sophie is a trusted mentor and coach who has built lasting relationships through genuine care, integrity, and encouragement. She is passionate about helping individuals discover and fulfil their God-given potential, and has journeyed alongside many, offering counsel, support, and practical guidance through life’s various seasons.

Above every professional achievement, Sophie treasures her role as a devoted mother, believing that family is one of God’s greatest gifts and that nurturing the next generation is both a privilege and a sacred responsibility.

Sophie has a deep appreciation for God’s creation. A lover of nature, she delights in its beauty and splendour, seeing in it the majesty, creativity, supernatural power, and holiness of God. She enjoys not only spending time in prayer but also engaging in heartfelt conversations with God as her Father, Friend, and Creator. It is from this place of intimacy and fellowship with Him that she draws strength, wisdom, peace, and direction for every aspect of her life and ministry.
